Denpasar, Bali (Antaranews Bali) - A total of 300 participants joined the "Startup Digital 1000 National Movement" in Denpasar City, Bali Province, that brought together experts from several domains.

"This year`s program focuses more on finalizing the concept of the participants by bringing in experts in the industry sector, which is the focus of the government`s priorities," Prasetyo Wicaksono from the event`s organizing committee stated here on Saturday.

Wicaksono noted that the agriculture, education, health, tourism, logistics, and energy sectors were being prioritized for entrepreneurs participating in the "Startup Digital 1000 National Movement" to gain a broader understanding of the real issues on the field.

Prasetyo explained that the movement comprised five stages, starting from "ignition" in which the seminar highlights main problems existing in Indonesia. The material and solutions to the problems will be presented by industry players.

The "ignition" stage is targeting 10 thousand participants annually. The participants will then be selected to continue to the second stage, named "network."

In the network stage, participants will be directed to strengthen relations through team-building exercises and to also gain basic knowledge before entering the next stage.

At the "workshop" stage, participants will undergo skill-based training they need to create a "digital startup," ranging from validation of ideas to market validation and business capital.

Prasetyo further explained that with the knowledge gained through the workshop, one thousand participants will proceed to the next stage called "hacksprint" to create prototype products based on the idea of application solutions.

Furthermore, a total of 500 participants will enter "bootcamp," which is a deep learning session or mentoring to prepare a product launch strategy.

"Finally, 200 selected participants will enter the incubation period of about three months in each city per year. Thus, in the next few years, there will be 1000 digital startups," he added. (adt/I006/sys/INE)
