Pekalongan, C Java  (Antara Bali)  - President Joko Widodo left for  Central Java on Sunday for a working visit to the province that would include inspecting the Nusantara Fishing Port and attending a Prophet Mohammad anniversary commemoration event in Pekalongan city.

He departed from Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma airport at around 8.30am aboard a presidential plane to the Ahmad Yani airport in Semarang, the capital city of Central Java.

From Semarang he would proceed to Pekalongan by helicopter to attend the Prophet Mohammad anniversary commemoration event at the Kanzus Sholawat Hall along with revered cleric Habib M Lutfi Bin Yahya.

After attending the event he is scheduled to extend social aid and witness the handing over of a number fishing boats to local fishermen during a visit to the Nusantara port.

On Monday the Presudent is scheduled to visit Pekalongan and Batang districts.

He is accompanied by several state officials  including health minister Nika F Moeloek, head of Presudential Secretariat Darmansjah Djumala, chief of presidential security guard, Major General Bambang Suswantoro, presidential special staff Ari Dwioayana. (WDY)
