President Holds Second Day of Meeting with District Heads

Bogor, West Java (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) held the second day of meeting in the Bogor Palace here on Friday after the first one organized a day before with all mayors and district heads across the country.

          "The meeting like this with the city mayors and the district heads across the country can be held not only once a year but also twice, or three times a year, depending on needs," President Jokowi said in his opening speech.

          He noted that such a meeting with the leaders from 416 districts and 98 cities across Indonesia should be held as one of the steps to consolidate the organizations in large country like Indonesia.

          Earlier on Thursday the head of state held a coordination meeting with the city mayors and the district heads at the Bogor Palace.

          Also preset at Friday's meeting were among others Vice President Jusuf Kalla and Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo. (WDY)
