Denpasar (Antara Bali) - The Udayana Military Command IX is stepping up bilateral cooperation with the Indian military, Chief of the Udayana Military Command IX Brig. Gen. Ruslian Hariadi said.
"Indonesia and India have very good bilateral relations to carry out economic and defense development. In this case a conducive condition is needed," Ruslian said here on Saturday.
An Indian military delegation led by First Admiral KG Vishwanathan visited the Udayana Military Command on Friday and was received by Ruslian Hariadi.
The brief meeting with the Indian delegation of Naval Higher Command Course was expected to serve as a means of exchanging friendly information and mutual respect.
The Udayana Military Command chief explained to the Indian guest that the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) had the main task of upholding the country`s state sovereignty and the integrity of the Unitary State of Indonesia, particularly in the Bali Island areas. (WDY)
