London (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has invited British businesspersons to invest in Indonesia as the country's economic climate was conducive for investors.
Speaking during a business forum, held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in London on Wednesday morning, the Indonesian president invited British businessmen to invest in his country.
At the start of his speech, President Jokowi appeared calm and full of charisma. The president seemed in control of the proceedings at the business forum, attended by some 300 entrepreneurs and CEOs from various industries.
Jokowi then praised Britain, calling it a great country.
"Britain is great, and the music and sports are great," Jokowi remarked.
As a spirited entrepreneur, Jokowi said Indonesia had opened an opportunity for all investors to develop business in the country.
He affirmed that the government would help in various matters related to licensing, let alone reform the bureaucracy.
The Indonesian president noted that several sectors, such as renewable energy, manufacturing, and maritime, among others, offered opportunities for business development.
On the same occasion, the president also promoted the availability of non-stop flights of national carrier Garuda Indonesia from Heathrow, London, to Jakarta three to five times per week.
"Keep calm and come to invest in Indonesia," the president stated at the end of his speech. (WDY)
