Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) started investigation of three former tax auditors charged with extortion.
The three, Hery Setiadji), ICN Indarto Catur Nugroho and Slamet Riyana are charged with seeking to extort PT EDMI Indonesia over the refund of Rp1 billion in excess of tax paid by the company to the state.
Chief spokesman of the anti graft agency Priharsa Nugraha said the three suspects were facing their first grilling after they were named suspects in in mid 2016.
Priharsa said the three demanded PT EDMI to pay Rp75 million for the refunding of the Rp1 billion in excess of tax payment by the company.
PT EDMI Indonesia is a subsidiary of PT Ltd operating in energy and technology business based in Singapore. (WDY)
