Palu, C Sulawesi (Antara Bali) - An army helicopter was reported to have crashed with a number of military officers on board in the regency of Poso, Central Sulawesi on Sunday.
The report said the helicopter crashed near the village of Kasiguncu at 17.55 local time, but no details of the incident has been available from official sources.
Head of the Central Sulawesi police public relations Adj. Sr, Comr. Hari Suprapto, who was in Jakarta said he heard about the incident but refused to say more than "awaiting report from my staff in Central Sulawesi."
The jungles in Poso mountains are known to be the hiding places of long wanted terrorist group under Santoso. (WDY)
