Surabaya, E Java (Antara Bali) - Australian ambassador Paul Grigson has urged the Indonesian university students to continue studying in Australia as the universities in his country are offering many scholarships.

"Many students from different countries apply for scholarships to study in Australia but somehow too few Indonesian students have been opting for these. So, we call upon the students in this country to study in Australia," the envoy said during his visit to the Surabaya-based Katolik Widya Mandala University (UKWMS) on Wednesday.

Currently, around 300 thousand students from various countries are studying in Australia in the disciplines of engineering, medical development and psychology.

During his visit, the Australian envoy looked at the work of students and researchers at the UKWMS, focused on improving the life of human beings and preserving the environment. (WDY)
