Jakarta (Antara Bali) - State-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II is working in coordination with airline companies to ensure baggage security at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
"The measures to improve the handling and security of baggage at the airport are implemented and monitored through a 24-hour security surveillance system using CCTV devices," Senior General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura II Zulfahmi noted in a statement made available to Antara here Monday.
Coordination between the airlines and the baggage handling ground staff is needed to realize the same vision and improve services at the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
"It is our duty to find a solution to every problem faced by passengers at the airport," he emphasized.
One of the airport's porters was arrested in November 2015 for breaking into a passenger's luggage to steal valuable goods. The suspect was caught red-handed after his criminal act was captured by a CCTV camera. (WDY)
