Jakarta (Antara Bali)- President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) officially opened the Fifth National Congress of the Association of All Indonesian District Legislative Councils (DPRD), here, Thursday.
Jokowi was flanked by Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung in the event.
The congress themed "Developing Indonesia from the Regions", is being held from December 16 to 19, 2015.
Later at noon, the head of state will have a lunch with stand-up comedians at the State Palace.
In the afternoon, the president will receive 10 representatives of Indonesia's civil society organizations at the Merdeka Palace. (WDY)
