French Tourists Interested In Raja Ampat

Paris (Antara Bali) - Raja Ampat tourism resort in West Papua is the favorite destination of tourists from France, according to Indonesian Ambassador to France Hotmangaradja Pandjaitan.

"Besides Bali, Raja Ampat is one of the new favorite destinations among French tourists," Pandjaitan said on the sidelines of the 21st UN Climate Summit at Le Bourget, Paris, France Saturday.

The number of French tourists to Indonesia on average is 20 thousand people per month, or ranked second most of the other countries in Europe after Germany, according to him.

The increasing number of French tourists will continue to be pursued through the promotion of tourist attractions in the archipelago in tourism fairs, he noted.

Indonesia also participated in the tourism fair International French Travel Market (IFTM) Top Resa in Paris from September 29 to October 2, 2015, he said.

In the exhibition, the Indonesian pavilion with the theme "Wonderful Indonesia" showcased the Indonesian map, and the attraction Pink Beach in Komodo Island, Muaro Jambi Temple, and various types of Indonesian cuisine.

"We will continue to promote tourist attractions in Indonesia to attract more tourists from France to visit our country," Pandjaitan noted. (WDY)
