Jakarta (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo expressed hope that the simultaneous regional head elections will be held based on schedule at the end of 2015.
"Regarding the regional head elections the head of states wants that it will be implemented simultaneously based on schedule," Teten Masduki, a member the President's Communication Team in a press statement through an electronic message, said here on Wednesday.
Thus, Teten said, the President wants the political parties which have dual leaderships to settle their problems. The President will not interfere.
"The President provides support to the General Elections Commission (KPU) to prepare regulations and technical preparations to support the implementation of the simultaneous regional elections," Teten added.
He said that the President also called on all sides to contribute to the elections so that there would be quality improvement of democracy in the implementation of the simultaneous regional head elections. (WDY)
