Dongguan, China (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian team should be able to defeat England on Monday in an effort to win group C of the World championship preliminary round in the badminton mixed team of Sudirman Cup.
Winning over England is a necessity after the British team was defeated by Denmark in the game on Sunday night, 3-1 for Denmark's success.
In the meantime, Denmark will become the group winner if it can beat Indonesia in the group C matches on Wednesday (May 13).
Indonesian team manager for the Sudirman Cup Rexy Mainaky said, in effort to be safe, Indonesia must beat England in the Monday match, so England will be excluded if defeated twice.
"If we win tomorrow (May 11) against England, then England will be eliminated after losing twice, and we strive to beat Denmark to be able to win Group C," Mainaky said.
The World championship preliminary round in the badminton mixed team of Sudirman Cup 2015 will run on May 10-17, and Indonesia is in Group 1 C along with two teams from Europe, Denmark and England.
China, the nine-time winner of the Sudirman Cup winner was placed in Group 1-A along with Thailand and Germany, Japan, Taiwan and the United States joined in Group 1-B, while Group 1-D inhabited by South Korea, India and Malaysia. (WDY)
