Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Police in Bali will receive assistance from local traditional civil guards, called "Pecalang", to help maintain security at the Sixth Bali Democracy Forum on November 7-8.

"They will help in the security area as community members," Bali`s regional police command chief Inspector General Albertus Julius Benny Mokalu said here on Tuesday.

He noted that hundred of Pecalangs would be assigned to secure their neighborhoods close to the Bali Development Corporation where the Bali Democracy Forum is to be held.

"We will cooperate with Pecalang to fill any void," he said. (*/M038)
