Jepara (Antara Bali) - Three people were killed and many others were still missing in a boat accident in Pulau Panjang waters, Jepara District, Central Java, on Thursday.
Japara rescue coordinator Totok Setyanto said here Thursday that the dead victims were believed to be visitors to a 'Lomban" (marine festivity) activity in the Japara waters.
He said that rescue workers were still searching the missing victims. A number of passengers survived the accident and were taken to the nearest hospital.
Totok said the causes of the accident were not yet known while attention was still focused in searching the missing victims.
