Batam (Antara Bali) - Putri Island which is located north of Batam city and shares a common border with Singapore and Malaysia became one of the favorite tourist sites for Idul Fitri holiday makers on Sunday.
"Though small, the island is very beautiful and has clean white sand," Suci Ramadhani, a visitor from Batam city, said.
Putri Island belongs to Nongsa sub-district, Batam City. It is one of the six outlying islands under the jurisdiction of the Batam city administration.
The island which is a half of soccer field size can be reached by a boat from the Nongsa coast by paying Rp15 thousand for a round trip ride.
"Many foreign nationals also have visited the island because it is closer to several tourist sites in Nongsa which attract many foreign tourists," she said. (M038)
