Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesia's best mixed doubles pair, Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir went to the final round of the World Badminton Championship 2013 in China on Saturday evening.
The pair went to the finals after beating Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei from China 15-21, 21-18, 21-13. Zhang/Zhao failed to compensate for the loss they suffered from Tontowi/Liliyana in the last All England 2013.
Tontowi/Liliyana, who are now third seeded, on the other hand equalized the Chinese's second seeded pair's victory records against them to 4-4.
With Tontowi/Liliyana's victory Indonesia sent two representatives to the final round of the championship. Earlier men's double players Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan defeated Chinese pair Cai Yun/Fu Hai Feng 21-19, 21-17 to go to the final round. (*/DWA)
