Educational Attaches Visit ISI Denpasar

Denpasar (Antara Bali) - A total of 15 educational attaches and 14 principals of Indonesian schools abroad visited the campus of Denpasar-based Indonesian Institute of Arts (ISI Denpasar) on Monday.

ISI Denpasar Rector I Gede Arya Sugiartha who received his guests said here on Tuesday that the visit was part of a coordination meeting organized by the local Department of Education and Culture.

On the occasion, Arya Sugiartha explained the profile of ISI Denpasar and expressed hope to establish a better cooperation with the educational attaches and Indonesian schools abroad to improve the quality of the Indonesian Institute of Arts in Denpasar.

He said the one-day visit to ISI Denpasar by the educational attaches and the overseas Indonesian schools principals was to find out the challenge and opportunity to establish cooperation.

It was revealed during the visit that Balinese gamelan, an ensemble of musical instruments indigenous to the island of Bali, has spread to more than 200 countries around the world. (*/DWA)
