Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has said the government will set up a national team to make preparations for the ASEAN economic community which will start in 2015.
"Whether we like it or not, ready or not ready, Indonesia will join the ASEAN economic community. We discussed this and the government will establish a national team," President Yudhoyono said after chairing a cabinet meeting here on Wednesday.
The team will check in various sectors how far Indonesia has made the preparations for its inclusion in the ASEAN economic community.
"If there is a sector which is not ready, we will make it ready," the president said. (*/M038)
