Biak, Papua (Antara Bali) - Biak is home to a number of ecotourism spots, including Padaido, a marine park island. Therefore, there is a possibility that the number of local and foreign tourists to Biak will increase in 2013.
Mecky Kapitarauw, head of the Department of Tourism and Culture, said Biak has a number of tourist spots, including marine parks, cultural museums, art museums and historical monuments.
There are a number of tourist spots in Biak, including the Japan Binsari Cave, the World War II Monument, Padaido Islands, the Wari beach and the Bosnik beach, he said.
Based on the number of hotels in Biak, the government will estimate the number of tourists in 2013.
He said the local government maintains a record of popular tourist spots in Biak.
There is a possibility that the number of local and foreign tourists to Biak will increase, he said. (*/T007)
