Nusa Dua (Antara Bali) - Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa has stated that Morocco seeks increased cooperation with Indonesia in the tourism sector.
"Steps to boost cooperation in tourism were discussed at the bilateral meeting between Indonesia and Morocco," he said after meeting with Morocco Foreign Minister Saad Eddine El Othmani here on Friday.
According to Marty, Indonesia can also benefit from increased cooperation with the North African country because Morocco is very advanced in the tourism sector.
Meanwhile, the Moroccan foreign minister said The cooperation in tourism is part of the overall cooperation between Indonesia and Morocco in the economic and political spheres.
He noted that both Indonesia and Morocco have a lot of experience in the tourism sector.
Morocco also wants to export phosphate and its derivatives to Indonesia. The two countries talked about investment opportunities not only in Indonesia but also in Morocco, Saad stated.
Morocco is keen to cooperate with Indonesia in the agriculture, fishery, and food-processing sectors, he continued.(*/DWA)
