The BEI index rose 0.28 percent to 4,236.74 points with the index of 45 most liquid stock rising 0.41 percent to 728.23 point.
"Asian markets gained this morning on speculation that China would announce new stimulus after poor industrial data," Samuel Sekuritas' analyst Sally Agustina said.
In addition, Spain agreed to cut deficit by 18 billion euro in 2013, giving positive sentiment to the market, Sally said here on Friday.
She said the positive sentiments more than offset negative sentiment from the United States with jobless claims and pending home sales worse than expected.
Sinarmas Sekuritas's analyst James Wahjudi said the speculation that China would announce new stimulus to shore up its economy gave positive sentiment to the domestic market.(IGT)
