Depok (Antara Bali) - Five persons sustained injuries in an explosion suspected to be a bomb blast that occurred in a house here at about 9.50pm Western Indonesia Standard Time (WIB) Saturday, and police arrested five persons relating to the explosion.
Depok police precinct chief, Senior Commissioner Mulyadi Kaharni confirmed about the arrest of the five persons, but refused to give further comment.
Antara learned here Saturday night that one of the five persons who was in critical condition, three sustained serious injuries and another two persons suffered from minor injuries were then rushed to the Mitra Keluarga and Bhakti Yudha hospitals for treatment.
The explosion also caused serious damage to a house which was located at Jalan Nusantara, RT04 RW13 Beji, Depok.
In addition a police line has been put around the house to prohibit people from entering the scene and police personnel also guarded the devastated house.
Meanwhile, A Gegana bomb-defusing team from the police headquarters examined the explosion.(IGT/T007)
