Bandarlampung (Antara Bali) - The Lampung Police have seized a truck carrying 1.7 tonnes of marijuana, hidden under avocado fruits, at Bakauheni Port here early on Monday.
Police spokesperson Adjunct Senior Commissioner Sulistyaningsih said the interception was done by police personnel from Lampung Selatan at 1 am in Bakauheni Port, Lampung.

In April, the Lampung Police destroyed 3.752 tonnes of marijuana, 3 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine, 34,960 ecstasy pills and 19,250 nimetazepam pills, which were collected during interceptions over the past 10 months.
The Police Chief of Lampung, Brigadier General Jodie Roesoto, noted that the drugs had been collected since June 2011 until March 2012.(DWA)
