Jakarta (Antara Bali) - About 10,000 workers conducted a rally in front of the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday.
According to ANTARA sources, the workers are calling on the government to revoke the outsourcing policy and revise regulation No 17/2005, which was issued by the Manpower and Transmigration Ministry, relating to worker's payment.
More workers from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi are expected to join the rally.
Meanwhile, the traffic on M.H Thamrin road and Medan Merdeka Selatan road, which lead to the Presidential Palace, has been diverted to Tanah Abang, Cideng and Kebon Sirih.(*/M038/IGT)
