China (Antara Bali) - Ninety members of the Indonesian Army Special Forces (Kopassus) arrived in Jinan, the capital city of Shandong province, to hold a joint exercise with their Chinese counterparts.
The 90 personnel from Red Beret Corps arrived at Jinan International Airport on a Hercules 9-130 from Indonesian Air Force Squadron Base 32.
The Defence Attaché of Indonesian Embassy in China, Col Surya Margono, told ANTARA that the joint exercise would officially begin on Tuesday (July 3).
"This is the second joint exercise between Kopassus and Chinese special forces," he said here on Monday.
The first such exercise was held on June 2011 at Kopassus Education Centre, Batujajar, West Java, Indonesia.
The joint exercise, called "Sharp Knife II/2012", is aimed at improving the knowledge, skills, and professionalism of the personnel from both countries.(IGT)
