Samarinda (Antara Bali) - The airport authority of Samarinda, East Kalimantan province, has yet to confirm the location of a Susi airplane that went missing on Wednesday afternoon.
Information obtained from an official of the Temindung Samarinda airport on Thursday indicated that the PK-VVQ-type pilatus porter airplane belonging to Susi Airways reportedly went missing at 5:10 pm local time on Wednesday.
The Temindung Samarinda airport chief, R. Aritonang, said here on Thursday that based on his information, the airport authority allegedly lost contact with the ill-fated plane when it reached Tabang sub-district, Kutai Kartanegara district.
"Based on the initial information we received, the plane is supposed to have conducted an emergency landing at a coal mining factory in Kutai Kartanegara district.
Meanwhile, the Kutai Kartanegara police precinct chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner I Gusti KB Hariyarsana, stated that the police will continue searching for the plane.(IGT)
