Li and poem united in a Chinese historical village

Fuzhou, China (Antaranews Bali) - China developed its economic potencies not just in a large scale of trades and manufactures but also other sectors driven by its people in a countryside.

The local government of Songkou in Yongtai county, Fujian Province for instance, developed Yuezhou village as a tourist site which attracted visitors to enjoy the beauty of its natural view. 

Yuezhou, about two hours from Fuzhou the capital city of Fujian Province, is surrounded by bamboo forest and a river.

The village offered agriculture activities of harvesting a local sweet fruit called Li.

"The harvest period will be done on June," said head of Songkou town Ye Wen Zhen to Bali's journalists during a short trip to the village. 

To attract more visitors, the electric generator house near a river bank will be used to be a library and a coffee shop as the innovation so that young generations can read the books while enjoying the village, he added. 

The traditional house near this area also was switched to be a museum with hundres of books and poetry written by wellknown local poet who was born in 1901 Zhang Yuangan and his five sons.

The unique combinations of agriculture and education attracted visitors mostly students as well as domestic tourists to visit this historical area. 

Zhen furthermore added that Songkou town area is known as a historical site of more than 1,000 years. 

Ancient residential buildings mostly built during the Ming and Qing Dynasties also found in the area of Daxi village, near the center of Songkou. 

Local villagers were also participated to support tourism by providing foods and souvenirs with affordable price in each of their stall.(*)
