Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI) is yet to assess the performance of the league operator, PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), according to a spokesman.

"We are yet to reach a conclusion regarding the performance of the LIB because the evaluation, in general, is still underway," Joko Driyono, deputy general chairman of LIB stated here on Monday.

In the meantime, the Liga (league) I matches concluded on Sunday (Nov.12), with Bhayangkara FC emerging as champion.

The initial match of the Liga 1 (one) or soccer league started in Bandung, West Java Province, on Saturday (April 15) between Persib Bandung and Arema FC.

Driyono also remarked that PSSI appreciated the performance of LIB and clubs that have been and are still participating in the league.

The LIB is in charge of organizing the "Go-Jek Traveloka" League 1 (one) and League 2 (Two).

Meanwhile, the League 2 (two) is still in progress of matching the top eight.

Therefore, PSSI is still in a position to hear and receive all reports from the relevant parties, Driyono noted.

Later, all reports will be collected and taken to the final executive committee (Exco) meeting in 2017, which was planned to be held on Dec 13.

After that, the results of the meeting will be discussed again at the annual PSSI congress, scheduled to be held on Jan 13, 2018, in Jakarta.

A total of 18 soccer teams have participated in the Liga 1 competition.

They are Arema FC, Bali United, Barito Putera, Bhayangkara FC, Persegres Gresik, Madura United, Mitra Kukar, Persela Lamongan, Perseru Serui, Persib Bandung, Persiba Balikpapan, Persija Jakarta, Persipura Jayapura, PS TNI, PSM Makassar, Pusamania Borneo, Semen Padang, and Sriwijaya FC. (WDY)
