Jakarta (Antara Bali) - Vice President Jusuf Kalla has urged Indonesia's younger generation to be more creative and innovative.
"He said that the young generation should be more creative to face the challenges of today," the National Committee of Indonesian Youth (KNPI) Chairman Muhammad Rifai Darus said here on Wednesday.
The KNPI met the vice president to discuss problems faced by the youth and report on the problems related to adolescent identity crises.
"There are many problems, ranging from drugs to radicalism. Therefore, we must establish communication with all elements of society to avoid these issues," Rifai stated.
The vice president, he noted, also urged the KNPI to help nurture and develop innovation and creativity amongst the youth the world over.
A well-structured organization, KNPI has its representatives in 540 districts.
"The KNPI does not socialize issues related to SARA (ethnicity, religion and race) that can reduce youth identity," he said. (WDY)
