"With its strategic position and catering to the community`s need for fresh air and a recreational facility, we believe the Jagatnatha botanical garden would become a new tourist attraction in Jembrana," Indonesian Institute of Sciences` researcher Joko Ridho Witono remarked while receiving a group of government officials of Jembrana District at the Bogor Botanical Garden in Bogor, West Java, recently.
Witono stated that the presence of the Jagatnatha botanical garden will not only function as a facility to conduct research, conservation, and educational activities but will also boost the tourism sector and economy.
"Increasing number of visitors to this new botanical garden will also lead to a surge in the number of merchants in the vicinity. Therefore, the Jagatnatha botanical garden will offer numerous benefits," he affirmed.
Earlier, Jembrana District Head I Putu Artha had stated that the construction of the botanical garden, located in the city of Negara, involved all regional working units.(WDY)
