Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) ended its three-day national working meeting here on Tuesday by issuing 22-point recommendations.
The recommendations were political decisions that were reached following discussions at the meetings of the partys commissions, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said.
As an ideological party, the PDIP reiterated its commitment to continue its struggle to ensure, direct, guard and secure the governments political policies at the national level to ensure commitment to the values of the state ideology Pancasila as outlined in the preamble of the 1945 Constitution, he said.
Realizing its ideological responsibility, he said the national working meeting discussed and decided the steps that the party must implement for Trisakti, or "The Three Powers"--- political sovereignty, economic independence and national character.
The 22-point recommendations include PDIPs reiteration of its commitment to continue its struggle to ensure, direct, guard and secure the governments political policies to ensure that these are aligned with the values contained in Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution, he said.
Through these recommendations, the PDIP underscored the need to figure out and realize the concept of Trisakti in a comprehensive manner and as part of the national development pattern, adopting it as a state policy and national development policy to create a just and prosperous nation based on Pancasila.
The meeting also recommended that the PDIP must improve its role as a pro-government political party, particularly to enhance the governments performance.(WDY)
