Kuta (Antara Bali) - Indonesia and Palestine have renewable energy resources in common, and thus, the two countries should optimise them, said a Palestinian minister.

"The potential of renewable energy in Indonesia is very high, and therefore, we encourage the country to optimise its usage," explained Palestinian Energy and Natural Resources Minister Omar Kittaneh, during a banquet on the sidelines of the Bali Energy Charter Conference on Thursday night.

Kittaneh noted that it is extremely important for Indonesia to optimise the usage of all renewable energy sectors such as geothermal, solar energy, hydro power, and wind energy.

"We highly appreciate the instruction from the president to his ministers with regard to the usage of renewable energy, and we are also grateful to Indonesia for training our workers," said Kittaneh.  (*/M038)
