Banyumas, C. Java (Antara Bali) - At least two rooms of an Elementary School in Kalicupak Lor, Banyumas District, Central Java, collapsed over the weekend, causing the learning activities to move to the house of head master and a small mosque.

"The two rooms collapsed at 5.30 on Saturday morning (Feb 9) before the students arrived at school," said School Guard Teguh (24) here on Monday.

According to him, the rooms collapsed because the poles that buttress the roof had been eaten up by termites.

He added that the wall that surround 7.5 x 7.5 meters rooms had several cracked spots.

"The roof and cantilevers in these two rooms are porous and triggered the rooms to collapsed," said Teguh. (*/DWA)
