Denpasar (Antara Bali) - Chair person of   PATA Bali and Nusa Tenggara Ratna N Soebrata, said that Bali should be considered  as a hub for all tourist destinations in Indonesia.
    
"Bali known as the icon of  Indonesian Tourism, this is the reality that tourist know Bali better than Indonesia. From Bali then we will promote Indonesia, which also known as Beyond Bali, she told ANTARA in Denpasar, yesterday.
 
She mentioned that this matters has been proposed during the meeting with Dr. Alistair Morrison from UN WTO and  Purdue University, USA and other stake holders of Bali Tourism in Denpasar, Tuesday. This meeting was initiated by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia.
 
Ratna who is also the Secretary General of Nusantara Tourism Forum  said also that working closely with the local governments from various tourist destinations which going to be promoted will be beneficial and effective.
 
"Java Bali Overland program, the famous 10Days/9Nights  package  back in 1980s to be reactivated, this will boast the market not only to the Netherlands who has the emotions ties with Indonesia but also to other countries, " she added.
  
Hadi Taryoto of Bali Tourism Friend (BTF) added that  it is wise to use Bali's big name  as an icon in promoting other  areas of  Indonesia,       "We also should have one tourism body which will be looking after all the necessity in promoting the  sustainable marketing strategies for Indonesia tourism" he added.

Ratna also added that during the meeting with UN WTO, Alistair Morrison said that he would like to hear about the  feed back from the meeting participants  so that the recommendations can be made later.    " He also said  that  "what  can we  do more to support the activities to boast the tourism marketing and strategies wise continually.
