Seoul, S. Korea (Antara Bali) - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), on Monday morning, is scheduled to meet hundreds of South Korean businessmen during a one-on-one meeting or business luncheon at the Lotte Hotel, Seoul.

"Tomorrow, there will be a series of business and state-level meetings," Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi stated here on Sunday evening (May 15).

According to Marsudi, the president will discuss potential areas for establishing bilateral cooperation in trade and investment with 400-500 South Korean entrepreneurs.

The minister pointed out that 20 South Korean businessmen operating in industries, such as garments, footwear, renewable energy, creative and entertainment, will attend the business meeting.

"They have already expanded their businesses in Indonesia and will extend the cooperation, and some of the businessmen are going to start new businesses in Indonesia," the minister added.

Marsudi stated that seven memoranda of understanding (MoUs) will be signed for establishing cooperation in areas, such as maritime, eradication of corruption, sports, and geospatial and peatland management.

The MoUs will be signed by the ministers of both countries and will be witnessed by President Jokowi and President Park Geun-hye.

"In the evening, there will be a state dinner," she added.

The president arrived in Seoul on Sunday (May 15) at around 5:05 p.m. local time after the presidential aircraft took off from the I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.

On the first day, President Jokowi met approximately 1.3 thousand members of the Indonesian diaspora in Seoul.

The president is on a state visit to South Korea on May 15-18 and will continue his official trip to Sochi, Russia, to attend the ASEAN-Russia Summit on May 19-20, 2016. (WDY)
