Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) said that the third economic policy package in relation to electricity tariff cuts could support businesses.

"The reduction of electricity rates helps businesses. The incentive supports the national industry," HIPMI Chairman for Trade, Industry and State-owned Enterprises Ian Dafy Fachry said Friday, October 9.

The reduction of electricity tariff for industries could have a positive impact on the industry directly, according to him.

"The decline in the price of solar by Rp200 per litre would also assist the industry," he said.

Earlier, state-owned electricity company PLN reduced the electricity tariff for medium-sized businesses to Rp1,187 per kWh in October 2015.
Moreover, the price of electricity for large-scale businesses has been decreased to Rp 1,058 per kWh.

In addition, in the third economic policy package unveiled Wednesday, the government has decided to reduce the price of solar for both subsidized and the non-subsidized one by Rp 200 per litre.

Meanwhile, the government has also determined to keep the premium fuel price at the current price. (WDY)
