Manokwari, West Papua (Antara Bali) - The government of South Manokwari district in West Papua has been urged to develop tourism facilities along the Siep Momiwaren Beach to attract local and foreign tourists, local official Yahesi Kawei stated here on Monday.

"Siep Momiwaren beach in South Manokwari is quite beautiful, and therefore, the local authorities should build tourism facilities there and promote it as a tourist attraction in the district," Kawei remarked.

He expressed optimism that if the local government developed tourism facilities along the Siep Momiwaren beach, it would attract several local and foreign tourists.

"So far, Siep Momiwaren has been visited by local tourists, but if the beach is intensively promoted and equipped with tourism facilities, it will also attract foreign tourists," Kawei noted.

According to the local official, the beach is beautiful, with white sand and crystal clear waters, and has a backdrop of scenic mountains.

"Therefore, the local government must develop adequate tourism facilities and promote it intensively, so that local and foreign tourists can visit the beach," he emphasized.

He further pointed out that the Siep Momiwaren coastal area is not only scenic but also holds huge marine fisheries potential for the South Manokwari district. (WDY)
