Malang, E Java (Antara Bali) - Arema Cronus Indonesia Malang of East Java soccer team defeated Bali United club of Bali province 2-1 in the first leg of quarterfinals of the President Cup soccer tournament here on Saturday night.
Two goals were scored by Arema's players Hendro Siswanto and Samsul Arif respectively in the 76th and 88th minutes.
Meanwhile, Bali's single goal was netted by Lerby Aliandri in the 66th minute through a penalty.
Since the kick off in the first half, both teams immediately launched threats and attacks in the match which took place in the Kanjuruhan Kepanjen stadium, Malang district.
