Bandung, W.Java (Antara Bali) - The 2015 Bandung Air Show (BAS), which kicked off in West Java's Bandung on Thursday, has become a major tourist attraction for domestic and international tourists.
"I am optimistic that the Bandung Air Show 2015 will draw up to 80 thousand visitors," the Mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil, said on Thursday.
BAS 2015 is one of the alternative tourist sites of Bandung, which should be visited by all travelers.
"I hope this event can restore the glory of Bandung as the City of Aerospace," he said.
BAS 2015 features exhibitions, such as the primary weapons systems of the Indonesian Military, aero modeling, chartered-aircraft, trainer aircraft and other types of aircraft.
It also provides information about aerospace education, as well as information and military technologies.
"There are also attractions related to aerobatics, para-motors, trikes, and skydiving," he said.
In addition, there are a number of competitions and creative student parades being held on the sidelines of the event, such as air show photography, aircraft assembling using scraps, marching band parades, traditional music and student dance parades. (WDY)
