Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian Ministry of Trade supports the Baros International Animation Festival (BIAF) which is held by Cimahi City Administration, West Java Province, in order to encourage the growth of animation creative industry in the country.
"The government supports the administration to organize this international event," Mayor of Cimahi Atty Suharti said here Monday.
According to her such support will encourage the development of the local potential and will elevate Indonesia's name in the international animation world.
Annualy held, BIAF 2015 is the third being held by the Cimahi City administration.
BIAF 2015 will be held in Cimahi on October 7 to 10, 2015 and will presents the Indonesian animators and those from several countries.
Suharti said Cimahi has about 200 animation production houses which were established since 2008.
The animation production houses are incorporated within Cimahi Creative Association (CCA) which has shown their works at the national level and in a number of countries.
"We hope BIAF inspires to the national and international communities," she said. (WDY)
