Jakarta Composite Index Opens Higher, Rupiah Gaining

Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Jakarta composite index (JCI) opened 14.57 points or 0.29 percent higher on Thursday.

The index of the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) rose 5,128.50 points with index of 45 most liquid stocks up 0.43 percent to 880.84 points.

Meanwhile, the national currency rupiah gained 95 points against the US dollar in the first minute of trade .

Rupiah traded at the level of 11,668 per US dollar gaining from the earlier level of 11,763 per dollar. (WDY)
