Ambon (Antara Bali) - A plane crashed on the Un beach in the eastern Indonesian city of Tual on Sunday afternoon, killing its pilot and three crew members.

The plane crashed on its flight from Sentani in Papua province to Tual from where it would continue its flight to the Maluku provincial capital Ambon, chief of the Tual city legislative council (DPRD) R.M. Waremra said on Sunday.

He predicted the plane owned by PT. Intan Angkasa crashed at around 12.10 eastern Indonesian time.

Chief of the Tual airport Amran Hamid was not available for comment on the crash as he was on the scene to help evacuate victims. (*/DWA)
