The Denpasar Immigration Office in Bali is currently investigating a British citizen with initial TD, who was reported by the public for allegedly intimidating residents in the Renon area of Denpasar.

"We appreciate the public's active role in reporting suspicious activities by foreign nationals," the head of Denpasar Immigration Office, R Haryo Sakti, said on Friday (April 17).

TD, a 49-year-old man, was arrested at his residence on Jalan Tukad Unda, Panjer, Denpasar, by officers from the Denpasar Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Office.

He drew public attention after a video showing him intimidating residents went viral on social media.

Immigration officers then tracked TD down and arrested him at his residence.

Authorities proceeded to check TD’s immigration papers, including his Limited Stay Permit (ITAS). However, the permit had expired, indicating he had overstayed due to non-renewal.

When officers questioned him, TD resisted and was uncooperative.

He was then taken to the Denpasar Immigration Office for further questioning, including his motive for intimidating residents.

"Officers are still investigating the motive for the alleged intimidation reported by the public, as well as tracing TD's activities while he was in Indonesia," Sakti noted.

Meanwhile, Denpasar Immigration officers also arrested four Nigerian nationals during a Dharma Dewata patrol on Friday.

The four Nigerian nationals are identified as UMA, who entered through Soekarno-Hatta Airport on April 13, 2018; KUO, who entered through Soekarno-Hatta Airport on February 5, 2026; and JIE, who entered Indonesia through Juanda Airport on February 5, 2025, all using Investor Stay Permits.

Furthermore, UGO entered Indonesia using a visitor's stay permit through Juanda Airport on June 17, 2025. The four of them are also currently being questioned by Denpasar Immigration on suspicion of misusing their stay permit.
