Ambon (Antara Bali) - A moderate quake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hits Buru Selatan district, North Maluku province, on Friday at 13.55 East Indonesian Time (WIT).

Spokesman to local Disaster Mitigation Office Kifly Wakanno said the quake is centered at 5.24 southern longitude and 125.75 eastern latitude  at the depth of 10 kilometers.

"No casualties reported in the location," he said.

Last Tuesday (March 5) a moderate quake measuring 5 on the Richter Scale hit southeast of Tanggamus District, Lampung Province, .

Chief of the local Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Yuharman said the quake is centered at 5.46 degree southern longitude and 104.75 degree eastern latitude at the depth of 10 kilometers. (IGT)
