Jakarta (Antara Bali) - The Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has established a Country Gateway Office (CGO) in Jakarta to expand its international financing operations in Indonesia.
The opening of the representative office was marked with the signing of a Host Country Agreement (HCA) by Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo and the President of the IDB Group Ahmad Mohamed Ali Al-Madani here.
Agus Martowardojo said the CGO constitutes part of IDB's management system which will facilitate the operation of the bank in the country .
He said he welcome the operation of the CGO and hopes it will strengthen the competitiveness of IDB products that it could expand its involvement in the development of public and private sectors in Indonesia.
"Indonesia welcomes the initiative and hopes it will contribute to strengthening cooperation between the country and IDB," he said.(*/DWA/IGT)
