Denpasar (Antara Bali) - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) warns fishermen and sea transportation users in Bali of high waves that will likely to happen in southern area, official said.
"Up till now tidal waves in Bali is recorded at two meters high. However the waves can reach up to 2.5 meters high in the next days due to circulation of strong wind with the speed of 8-30 kilometers per hour in the area," spokesman to Bali's BMKG Nyoman Gede Wiryajaya said here on Tuesday.
He explained strong wind happens due to the change of wind circulation from east to the west. Apart from causing high waves, such condition also triggers rain. (IGT)
