Bali Regional Police have secured all entrances and exits to Bali ahead of the G20 Summit, which is scheduled to take place in November this year.

"We have secured every exit and entrance, including port, airport, and coasts," Chief of  Bali Police Inspector General Putu Jayan Danu Putra, said while inaugurating the Sudirman Dewata post here on Tuesday.

G20 is an international forum comprising 19 countries and the European Union that work together to handle major issues. Indonesia is holding the presidency of the grouping this year.

Securing the G20 Summit will involve comprehensive cooperation from security forces, Putra said. Polda Bali will deploy 6,722 personnel to secure the summit under the Puri Agung Operation.

Security forces will set up special zones and rings, such as at airports, roads used by the delegates, delegates' accommodation, and other related locations, to secure the summit.

"Security will not only be tightened at the conference location, but objects related to it will also be secured, until the delegates leave Indonesia," Putra disclosed.

Police will also boost security at Gilimanuk Port in Jembrana district as one of the entrances and exits to Bali.

Polda Bali has been implementing security measures for G20 events since December 2021 since there are many activities being held in Bali related to the conference, Putra informed.

"Ahead of the G20 Summit in November, the security situation in Bali is conducive and under control," he said.

As part of efforts to maintain a conducive situation, he asked the community to participate in monitoring and maintaining the security of their neighborhoods and immediately report any suspicious incident to the police.

The Sudirman Dewata post is a police post located on Jenderal Sudirman Street in Jembrana district, Bali, which is equipped with CCTVs and an information control center.

"This post can be used by the community if they find problems on the road," Putra said.
