Bandung (Antara Bali) - Lion Air will soon open routes flying from Bandung to Denpasar and Bandung to Surabaya, company General Manager Ari Azhari said here on Saturday.
        
"Bandung-Denpasar and Bandung-Surabaya routes have great potential as a future market," Ari said, adding that flights on the Bandung-Surabaya route would begin next Tuesday, with regular flights every day at 4.10 in the afternoon.
        
Flights on the Bandung-Denpasar route will begin on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 2.20 pm. Ari said that the two routes would be served by Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft.
        
"We are optimistic that the load factor in the first month will be 80 percent," Ari said, adding that Lion Air also offered connecting flights for passengers from Bandung, who would travel to eastern Indonesian locations such as Makassar, Bima, and Maumere.
        
He also said that passengers who flew on Lion Air from Bandung could reach connecting flights from Surabaya to other cities in eastern Indonesia.
        
According to Ari, Lion Air will charge Rp360,000 from Bandung to Surabaya and Rp522,000 from Bandung to Denpasar.(*/M038)
