Yogyakarta (Antara Bali) - The Indonesian and North Korean governments are increasing their information cooperation  following their first Joint Information Committee (JIC) meeting, Communications and Information Ministry's Secretary General Basuki Yusuf Iskandar said in Yogyakarta Tuesday.

He said the first JIC meeting between the two sides will produce operational measures.

He also said the delegations of the two countries have signed an MoU in Jakarta on February 19, 2009, and on March 25, 2011 a Communications and Information Ministry's delegation made a visit to North Korea in which the two sides agreed to form the JIC.

He said the two sides agreed to cooperate in radio and television broadcasts, exchange of officials, envoys, and journalists.

Deputy Chairman of the North Korean Information Committee Jong Yong Choi said the meeting is also expected to contribute to expand bilateral cooperation between the two countries.(IGT)
